Buffalo Bills 2023: Shorter, Spector to IR; Ferguson joins

Only one day after unveiling the first group of players for their 53-man roster, it was revealed that the Buffalo Bills were not through making selections regarding their roster.

It had been rumored that wide receiver Justin Shorter and linebacker Baylon Spector would be placed on injured reserve (IR) during the season, but the moves that were made on Tuesday 

Following the decision to place Shorter and Spector on injured reserve, the team was left with two available roster positions, which they filled as swiftly as possible.

ong snapper Reid Ferguson has made his way back to One Bills Drive, offensive tackle Germain Ifedi has made his way onto the active roster and is making his first appearance with the Buffalo Bills.

The manner in which Ferguson's contract was written ensured that the club would not be subject to a dead cap upon the player's departure. Ferguson does not have to worry about being waived because he is a vested NFL player

Germain Ifedi faces an offensive line group that recently suffered the retirement of veteran offensive tackle Brandon Shell. Ifedi will work hard to get up to speed as soon as possible in the hopes of contributing to the Bills' efforts to strengthen their offensive tackle depth.
