After releasing numerous young, promising players, including two playmakers, the Dallas Cowboys faced tough roster selections.
The Cowboys waived running back Malik Davis and wide receiver Simi Fehoko.
Davis played 12 games last season, gaining 224 yards and a touchdown, but Rico Dowdle replaced him as backup running back.
Fehoko was a Cowboys wideout who never reached his potential. Fehoko was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft
however he only had 3 receptions for 24 yards in two seasons with Dallas.
Cowboys' top three receivers, but training camp battles for roster berths ensued. Dallas kept three more receivers to make six, including Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, and rookie Jalen Brooks.
